US Marshals captured Markel Hutton in Conway, Arkansas on Monday, August 19, 2024. Hutton had escaped from the Bureau of Prisons in St. Louis, Missouri in November 2023.
He was serving a 51-month sentence for brandishing a firearm during a crime when he escaped. Hutton had been on the run for eight months. After a long investigation, Deputy US Marshals from the Eastern District of Missouri worked with the US Marshals Eastern Arkansas Fugitive Task Force.
